I've decided that paying more for a
highly-rated dry dog food is a good tradeoff from the time needed to prepare food and to ensure that it's nutritionally balanced (Kathy's OK with it because Wendell's food doesn't come out of her part of the budget anyway). At his last home he had been eating Purina supplemented with meat & rice but the vet wasn't very impressed with that choice.
