Beautiful dog. They're such an elegant breed.

Any dog trainer will tell you, "we teach people, not dogs"

He is beautiful. Looks a little shell-shocked, but a little TLC and I'm sure he'll figure out he's home.

When I got my dog I had a stack of books as well. Takes a lot of time and loads of patience but the time put into training is more than worth it in the end. (He is probably crawling on the sofa as I write this).

Awesome. What does your niece do?

She's an assistant on the business end of his business, and it keeps her hopping. He has his fingers in a lot of different pies. It was really nice last year when he designed the poster for Telluride Film Festival, as it meant my niece had to come to town for about a week.

I find that weimaraners pretty much look shell-shocked in a number of photos, unless of course if you're William Wegman doing the shooting.

His expression in that picture was exacerbated by the red-eye mode on the flash, but his general mood has had an undercurrent of bewilderment.

But he has managed to relax and use his new doggy bed...
