I had an Uncle who raised Weimaraners, so I know the breed and they are amazing dogs. One of the pups they bred had a problem with it's hips when it was born and the vet wanted to put it down. My aunt would not have that, so she took care of that puppy like it was her own child. Because of the hip problem, the dog had a very funny walk when it was a puppy. It looked like she was dancing and so they named her Gypsy Rose Lee. She was a great dog and she followed my Aunt everywhere.

"Shell-shocked" might have been a bit strong and I had no doubt that he'd adjust quickly. I just caught a hint of that worried look critters get when they've had a major change. Maybe I'm just extra-quick to assume it since I have a cat who considers a box in the living room to be a major change. Besides, I love that moment when you realize that the new baby is finally completely trusting that you'll get him through anything.

Anyway, he certainly is a beauty.

I emailed Kathy, but according to dog trainer, it's 'separation anxiety.' My dad had two Weimaraners, Otto and 'Dolph, and he said their eyes were that way, so 'they could take it all in.' His dogs were never separated from him, if the truck went, they were in the bed. Period.

so, Todd, did she take her collar off while she danced? (Honestly, I can't help myself.....)

You too should have his picture put on a postage stamp...then he can be as famous as Lynn's Jazz!

Wendell conquered his fear of climbing the stairs to the second floor this morning while we were at market.

Hopefully he'll face up to his fear of descending the stairs while his bladder still holds...
