This morning I made okonomiyaki with spicy kimchi and squid, for breakfast. Kris is at a conference, so I get to cook stuff she not only wouldn't eat, but couldn't stand to be in the house with.

What do you make, for yourself, when the sweetie and/or kids are absent?

I eat terrible food when they aren't around. Kielbasa and BBQ sauce (current fave -- Trader Joe's Sriracha BBQ sauce), hot dogs wrapped in crescent roll dough (Granted, it's homemade crescent roll dough, I'm not a barbarian.), or tuna salad on crackers. Maybe I'll eat a nectarine if I'm feeling really guilty about the sad state of my nutrition, or maybe I'll just eat a couple of my kid's chewable vitamins.

Chana masala, lentil soup, black bean burritos, and other dishes with beans. There isn't a legume that DH will happily eat. I also eat a lot of fish while he's away.

lots of beans, lots of rice. Salads with beans, onions, tomatoes, fried potatoes and a spicy lemony salad dressing. Rice with butter and soya for breakfast. Bowl of beans & rice with Sriachi or anything spicy. Best of all, I eat when I please.

Cereal mainly if it's just me. Or a can of corn and slices of soft white bread (a comfort food for me).
I normally can't be bothered to cook just for myself. There's not much, if anything, my kids won't eat that I will.

Cereal, eggs or asparagus. Leftovers. It doesn't happen all that often.
