Folks,

So I've boxes of pottery ready to go to a show on Sunday. I thought I'd let folks know about a few items I feel are particularly cooking-oriented in case anybody wanted me to set them aside.

Cookaholics Dipping Dishes are finally here. I only have 6 of them now -- a set of 4 and a set of 2 -- but they're available for the first claimants, price negotiable:

The dipping dishes are about 3" in diameter each, and about 1/2" deep. They were thrown on the wheel and marked with a stamp made by Todd Hart.

I also experimented with making a salt pig. I'm not sure how I feel about the result:

That's about 5" high. It's a wee bit small for my hand, but then I have very large hands. It doesn't say Cookaholics on it anywhere, but in the future I'll make some that do.

Here's some immersion weights in two different sizes. The idea is that you put them on top of something you want to stay submerged: kale or lettuce you're soaking, dolmas you're cooking, etc. These are currently sold out except the pair I'm using, so if someone wants some I'd have to make more up. Still, I haven't seen anything like them elsewhere.

They are 6" and 9" in diameter, for small and large pots/bowls.

I'd be interested in the immersion weights, next time you make some up. Let me know the details (price, shipping), when you have time, no rush.... How heavy are they?

Not sure, I'll have to weigh them. They're pretty easy to make, so I expect I'll charge you more for shipping than for the ceramics.

Any preferences on color?

Glad to hear of your success!

Those immersion weights are something I found interesting; something I could have used one for today - holding the chile peppers down while soaking! That would be something special diameter, however.

Dave,

Well, orders (or trades for peppers and kefir lime leaves) are possible. Those are made from a slab, so I can really make any diameter up to about 12". Larger would be possible, but more difficult.
