About 8 -9 more inches of snow last night on top of all the snow we have already had. It started at 5:00 p.m.. I shoveled 4 inches around 7:30 p.m., 2 more inches at 9:00 and I woke up to 2-3 more inches this morning. I think this picture says it all.

I'm beyond done with winter. The drifts on our front lawn if over 7 feet from having the show shoveled onto them from the driveway. The snow in the yard is at least 2 feet deep. And we are in week 35 (or so it seems) of code red calls in our call centre ( I work for the Canadian version of AAA). My youngest's bus was over 1/2 hour late, he finally gave up and came home for me to drive him, good thing I was working from home.
Stay safe everyone.

I know everyone out east is completely done with snow, but for those of us in the west (outside the PacNW) we'll take anything and everything we can get. The drought in CA is horrific, and it's going to significantly impact the cost of food this year because of crop failures.

Our wildfire danger is extreme. We need every drop of rain, and every flake of snow we can get.

And, people are still arguing over global warming?!

if only we could send it where it's needed. I'm sure our farmers will be planting very late here due to the amount of snow, and our main growing area locally was flooded over and over last year so this will be on top of that.
Global warming gets a bad wrap since it's not just about warming, it's about climate change. And people focus on the "warming" which is not happening at this end of the continent, at least this year. In the 20 years we've been in this house we've never had snow like this. It's crazy.

You're absolutely right Jean...it is climate change. And completely man made.

It just sucks. Have you seen the images from China where you cannot even breathe without the aid of a mask?

Great world we're leaving our children, huh?

We're expecting more snow, and our yard & driveway sound about like yours, Jean. Amy, I'd love to send this back to you.

I guess I don't understand why some folks have a problem with the term *global* warming, because it is accurate. Just 1 degree Celsius increase in the global climate can wreak havoc, but I suppose plenty of people just don't understand the difference between weather and climate. So maybe saying "climate change" makes it more relatable to them. Whatever the term, the deniers can deny all they want but it won't change the outcome.

You're absolutely right Darc. Call it what you will, but we've f**ked up our climate, and I find it really, really odd some people argue that point.
