I've been down for over 2 weeks now, still getting over the respiratory infection I got while traveling to the west coast. It sucks. I hope you feel better soon! |

We're in the car on the way to the Opera House. Thankfully Andy's taste buds are okay, so he did a lot of tasting today...mine, not so much. And, I'm really hoping this isn't the flu...kind of feels like it. Amy |

Somehow I rallied, even though by all accounts I should have stayed in bed all day. The event was fabulously successful, and I think I made some pretty good new business leads. I was prepping on the third floor of the opera house and my servers were having a hard time getting down to the first floor because people on the second floor would mob them the second they came down the stairs. The dessert was extraordinarily well received...we couldn't prep it fast enough. I collapsed afterwards but was rudely awaken at 1:00 a.m. with a horrible sore throat, and was never able to get back to sleep. Ugh. Amy |

Amy, 1 Tbs honey or maple syrup 1 Tbs fresh lemon juice 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper 8-10oz boiling water Mix. Drink as hot as you can stand it. Will numb a sore throat for up to 4 hours, as well as speed healing. |
