Thanks, thanks, and thanks guys!! I am very happy and excited. I hope to blow the dust off my books, and polish my shiny stainless stuff, it looks pretty terrible, not at all like you see on tv. I'd actually settle for the scenario where Allie, at the age of 1ish, looks up at me while being rocked for a nap, pulls her paci out and says "mama, it say beep beep" cuz she knows I can't hear the oven timer and cookies might burn. That'd be just swell. I've really got a lot of catching up to do, you guys are cooking up a storm when I manage to stop by browse every now and then. I'm not kidding, EVEN I have let my CI subscription lapse. I'll bet Chris is horrified.

ps....Darcie, you nailed it, lol

Unemployed? Yea, me too. Cool, huh?

Since we're here to learn/share ourselves, you're come to the right place.
You teach best what you most need to learn.

Crystal,

Few of us have a CI subscription BUT... We are looking for someone with a CI on-line subscription to provide important information on the Cookaholics bulletin board. This may be done without any legal or ethical problems. Here's the idea:

If you have an on-line subscription, you may "Read (the) Current Issue" every month. The on-line mag includes Recipes, Equipment Reviews, Taste Tests, How To Cook and etc. The important break-through, best method, new idea, best product, or important opinions may be passed on to others.

RECIPES:
The on-line recipes begin with "WHY THIS RECIPE WORKS":
This section outlines the best ideas and techniques.
The recipes articles provide details on the best methods.
The best new idea may be paraphrased (not plagerized) and passed on to Cookaholics.

EQUIPMENT/TASTE TESTS:
The reader may offer opinion on recommended products, once again paraphrasing.
In example: The leading consumer reporting magazine recommends the Ginsu Knife Set #--- as the best value. (shocking and true.)
or the leading cooking magazine tests show the best value in cookware is All-Clad. (Yeah, that was totally predictable!)

This project will give true meaning to your life. If not, let me tell you about my shiny Mauviel M-Cook frypan.

Tim

....soft footsteps.....
Wino,
I make a mean grilled cheese, in my big old not so shiny AC pan. Sadly, not much exciting going on. However, I have ripped off a pretty good hot dog sauce/chili and modified it. That's about as accomplished as I've been in the kitchen lately.
