I post things about very personal and depressing things going on, and some people choose to ignore my comments and make jokes where jokes aren't appropriate.
I'm taking a bit of a sabbatical.

I'm sorry. As you can imagine, it's been a horrible week. Ignore me and carry on.

I am sorry for your loss. My pets have been children to me, and I cherished each one. It takes time to heal these emotional wounds. Take care, Dear.

Amy,
When our "purebred" pekapoo-cocker-terrier-basset died at 105, our dear veterinarian sobbed at his deathbed. A few days later, he delivered a wonderful book, "All Dogs Go To Heaven". This is a wonderful book, reminding me of the "Velveteen Rabbit", to help you through the grieving process.
Get a copy and remain in our thoughts,
Tim

Thanks Tim, I'll look for a copy of the book. Andy and I both agreed we didn't want to wait to get a new dog presence in the house, so for those friends of mine here who are not also FB friends, meet Harry. He's an absolute doll. And while he'll never come close to replacing Clara, he will fill some of the void in our hearts. Amy
