Will be gone for the next couple of weeks, off to Miami/Ft. Lauderdale for a cruise. Looking forward to some sun, sand and extended cocktail hours.

Have a great time and yell if we can help with anything. :)

Hope your cruise is excellent and you don't end up stranded in the Atlantic for 8 days while the boat fills up with poop.

I'm certain that there is a "Poop Deck" joke in here somewhere...

We are even going on Carnival....but I'm hoping that the Triumph experience means they will have triple checked our boat. ;-)
thanks for your help Lisa and I will certainly message you if we have more questions. Now....to finish the laundry. Chris had to go to DC to the state department (they don't care about anyone's schedule other than their own) and will be back tomorrow at 8 pm. We leave at 3:30 am for the airport.

Jean,

Thought of you when I saw that two more Carnival ships are having problems...Dream and Legend it appears are both in trouble. Hope you're not on either of them!

As gross as it sounds, there is a place to relieve oneself on board that can cope with the added nutrients. After all, folks were at sea long before there were flush toilets.

Thanks guys. We were on the Freedom, which had no problems. Carnival staff were excellent, the food was better than I expected in both preparation and variety (it is after all a cheaper cruising option that caters heavily to families and singles) and we had no problems. The frantic texts from my mom (via my sister) were funny as I neglected to leave the name of the ship. :o
Becky, had there been issues you would not have found me using the great wide ocean as my lavatory. I would have been curled in a fetal position in my bed in denial.

We will be off to London for a few days on Thurs. My daughter Sidonie is turning 17 and the poor child has NEVER been to London. EasyJet had a good deal, so I was able to rectify the situation before Children's Services got after me for neglect.
I have reservations for Ottolenghi's Nopi for Thursday evening. Hopefully this will be less eventful than my last trip to London (pickpockets).

Mary
