Hope you both have a lovely special day and hope the cake is one you didn't have to make yourself.

I just checked in. Happy Birthday, Lindsay!

My daughter's 13th birthday is Saturday so I am attempting to make her the birthday cake from Milk Bar. I sort of threw out my back yesterday though so it is slow going. Normally I make myself a cake on my birthday and her a cake on her bday, but I haven't managed this year. It is sort of sad to think about no cake after dinner tonight. Sadly, you really can't buy a decent cake around here.

Oh well, I might take some more advil and whip something up.

I am more excited about our lunch tomorrow. My husband finally has a day off, so we are eating at my favorite place. This caterer around here named Eric Johnson has a weekday lunch place and I have not had one bite of food from him that isn't incredible. I have high standards so that means something.

Anyway, Thank you everyone!!
