Climbing up to 23 degrees here in Denver with clear blue skies....tomorrow we are going back to the 50's. The weather pattern here has been squirrely..... .3 or 4 days of 50 and even 60 degree weather and then snow and a deep freeze for 3 days, then back to unseasonably warm. My crocuses don't know whether to come or go.

Tonight it's expected to drop to -13 c in the Toronto area with a feels like of -23 (or 8f to -9 f). I won't complain about it though seeing what others have. It's all relative, as what is cold to us here is freezing to those way south of us.
No snow day here, and it really should have been. Tomorrow if the buses run I will have to wait at home till mine are on their buses, as it will be -19 with a feels like of -32 (-9/-25f) and there's no way they can stand in the open for more than 10 minutes.

Reading about some of those temps, I won't complain about the 15 degrees we're supposed to get tonight. But after the pouring rain and 50 degree temperature we're experiencing today, I will note that Boston will be one large ice rink tomorrow - and given my propensity to slip (3 dislocated elbows and counting) - I think I'll stay indoors and applaud all of you who are going out.

Bah, windchill is overrated, outside of the frostbite issues. It does affect the cooling rate, but is overblown. Mind you, Regina is friggin cold with or without windchill.

Since I've had frostbite before, I pay attention to the windchill. At any rate, the wind certaintly makes it seem a lot colder to me. On Saturday night, I was walking in downtown Mpls. In between buildings it seemed rather pleasant (heck, it was above 0 F). But when I crossed the street the wind took my breath away and stung my cheeks.

Anyone in the South looking for a roommate?

You are always welcome here, as you know. Not that I'm that far south, but it's a balmy 30 here right now.
