We went to Jean-Georges Vongerichten's Market in Boston for dinner. It was a very nice experience. We had reservations for 8:00 which means we arrived as the theater crowd left. We got excellent service. The appetizers were really really good. I am not a "raw" aficionado, but the tuna with spicy radish ginger dressing was wonderful. DD and SIL said it was as good as they'd had anywhere and they eat at Lynch's, Oringer's, etc. and other top restaurants all the time. We also had the calamari and the rice cracker crusted tuna both great as well. For entrees we had Roasted Chicken Fricassee and the Grilled Pork Chop. The fricassee was completely different from what I call chicken fricassee but it was very nice. The pork chop was nicer. But the star were the desserts. DH had a cheesecake with port ice cream. He said the cheesecake was great (I passed), but the ice cream was delicious. However, my plate of cookies and confections and was really good. There was a fudgy chocolate peanut butter confection that I would love to be able to make. I've not been able to find the recipe online :( The salted caramels were great and so were the cookies except for the molasses which was not as good as DD's. I was full, so I asked to take what remained of my dessert plate home and they put it in a nice container and added a whole bunch of extra caramels.

If I went back, I think I'd have just appetizers and desserts since all of those were really special.

PS, the waiter recommended a Case Sugan 2012 Pinot Grigio. I liked it a lot and would love to have it again.

Unfortunately, they just announced they're closing, so it's great you had the chance to go when you did.

I guess we made it the day before it closed. That is too bad because it was completely full the day we went and the prices were reasonable.
