Can anyone help me identify this annual plant? Just love it and would love to keep it in the rotation but can't find the tag for it (which I usually always keep). It's an annual, bought as a 4-pk this past June. I think it's an Agastache but just not sure. We're zone 6 in NY State.

Nancy, it does look like Agastache. From the A-Z Encyclopedia of Garden Plants: "Most are stiffly erect, bushy plants, with lance-shaped to ovate, grayish green leaves, borne in opposite pairs. Spikes of long-lasting, small, 2-lipped, tubular flowers are borne in whorls from midsummer to autumn...They may also be grown as annuals and in containers where not hardy."

It looks like there are some cultivars that are perennial in Zone 6, most notably A. scrophulariifolia (Purple giant hyssop). Others that denote Zone 6 as the outside cold hardiness zone are A. 'Firebird' (copper colored), A. cana (aka Hummingbird's mint, Mosquito plant, Wild hyssop), A. foeniculum (Anise hyssop),and A. 'Tutti-fruiti.'

I have Agastache in my garden (zone5) and it acts as a perennial. It does not look like this plant, but I cannot tell you what this is without seeing a close up of the flower and leaf ( and maybe not even then),

Yesterday I stopped at the nursery where I bought this and got confirmation that this is an annual Agastache.
Thanks everyone!
