Hey! I hit one!

Caught a squirrel this evening headed into my yard. Brought out the trusty slingshot. Hit him square on and took him straight off the fence.

Maybe that'll make him afraid of our yard ...

Ahem. We have several "havahart" traps, and have established our own Squirrel Relocation prgram. We throw them in the back of the truck and relocate them far, far away. We thought. Even a giant (to them) playful Golden Retriever, while stuck in said trap, does not deter them. They come back from miles away. I complained to our vet, and she said to spray their tails and see. Yep, day-glo orange tails in the yard. Meanwhile, the stupid sneaky hawk, who sits on the pine tree just watches the squirrels, while he waits to feast on my mourning doves. GRRRRR.

KSS,

Oh, the local redtail here has been more useful ... we're down to just the two squirrels.

However, that means she hasn't come back, since there's not enough prey to interest her anymore ...
