There's been a lot of hype about this tome. I'd love to look at it, but $500+? I don't think it's in the cards....

Save yourself well over $100 by ordering it from Canada

Ya know, I just don't get why someone would price their book beyond the reach of nearly everyone. Surely an analysis of potential sales vs. price would suggest a lower price point (even the Canadian price is out of hand). Seriously, is this thing printed with gold leaf or what?

Yeah, the Dali Tarot costs less and it actually does have gold leaf.

I am baffled...I could get a circulator and a food saver and investigate modernism myself for about the same cost.

Yeah, JesBelle, but does it have 2400 pages?

Somewhere I read that the author advises the book should not be taken into the kitchen. They include a spiral bound with extra special paper for that purpose.

Yes, it isn't quite "a" book, more like 6:

(that pic does not include the 6th book, the kitchen manual). It promises to be unique, at least.

C,

Some of those techniques are pretty well known, but others give pause for thought. I'd sure love to look through this thing to see if I'm willing to invest. Hmmmm...maybe I can talk my EC into buying it for the restaurant.
