I remember as a kid having a Green Jello Mold with Celery and Carrots and it being served with Mayonnaise. This was the salad part of the meal.

Other than okra or brussel sprouts, there is little more I loathe and detest than jello. Ugggghhhh. All that slimey, gooey "stuff" going down my throat. Oh, gag.

I do however, love my kid. So, when he found a recipe in a magazine for "Ambrosia," and insisted we make it for Easter, I acquiesced. Here it is now: http://www.kraftrecipes.com/recipes/ambrosia-mold-55321.aspx

I bought a butterfly mold at a yard sale. He's married now, so now it's his and his wife's problem.

I used to love green jello with pineapple and sour cream (?) in it

Cottage cheese, possibly? My gmother was big on putting stuff in jello and I remember lime jello with cottage cheese.
