Now that's culinary terrorism!
I hate it when that happens, because you're then stuck doing the recipe for the rest of time. The only thing worse is when you go to all of that work to have the peanut gallery give a luke-warm review....or suggest that the stuff from the box is just as good.
The closest thing I came to spousicide was after I had brined, air dried, and flipped the damned CI bird (burning myself and splooshing hot grease over the length of my countertop when I dropped it), only to have DH turn to me during dinner to say "it's just turkey." Needless to say it's been nothing but Butterballs here ever since.
