... yes, really.

In a festival of superhero-mania, W-S has paid to create an 8-page comic book in which Spider-Man and the Avengers fight bad guys and bake cookies for the charity Share Our Strength. It's to promote W-S's new No Kid Hungry campaign, and also to sell some W-S merchandise.

It is also friggin' hilarious.

Run, don't walk, to a W-S near you and pick one of these up before they run out. I promise, they will.

Darnit, I was just in W-S and didn't notice it - I was too busy fending off hovering salespeople. I will not go back to that location. It was extremely irritating because they were so pretentious and condescending. "What can I help you discover in our food department?" Yeah, you're Christopher freakin' Columbus showing me the New World. Cranberry and cannellini beans are not exactly exotic ingredients.

I was with a younger friend who doesn't cook much. I was explaining to her how the Le Creuset doufeu pans worked (she commented on the fake ice they had in the lid). I'm sure the salesperson could hear me explaining it, but insisted on coming over and explaining it again (and not any better).

I know they were just doing their jobs but something about the way they approached us really irritated me. I dunno, maybe I just look like a shoplifter LOL...

Didn't mean to hijack...
