Todd,

Well, palate fatigue is very familiar to wine tasters. Myself, I can only seriously taste about 7 to 9 wines in an afternoon and expect to seriously evaluate them.

Sadly, I've had the experience of thinking I've loved something I've tasted at the winery, only to take it home, save it, haul it out for a special dinner party, talk it up, and almost spit it out on the first sip. And sadly I can't even blame it on being corked. Except me having been half-corked maybe when I bought it, that is.

Does this mean I have fond memories of crappy wine from childhood? Hmmmmm.
