I have to make a quick trip to Ohmaha for a Tuesday meeting, this trip will probably only require a good lunch stop, later trips will need good dinner (round here it's called Supper) spots.

Because of the super short notice I got on this one, rather than spending $$$ on a short notice flight I will drive this one on Monday so spots on the IH-35 route would also be handy.

Suggestions?

Any possibility you can meet for breakfast? Weather willing, we'll be driving through Omaha Tuesday morning.

Perhaps, my meeting is at 10:30 AM at the airport air traffic control tower, I will look for a hotel near there. Anyone know of a good local breakfast joint?

That could work out perfectly. We're planning on staying in Kearney, NE Monday night, and it's just shy of three hours to Omaha. We could meet around 9.

A quick google search turned up a site that purports to tell you the best breakfast spots in Omaha. Here are the places they recommend. Vidlak's looks close to the airport and I80 (which we'll be driving across). Let me know!

Awesome. I've got your cell number (assuming you haven't changed it). Do you have mine?

I'll call you Tuesday morning with our ETA, unless weather really screws us up, in which case I'll call you Monday evening.

Vidlak's was good! A hole in the wall / local sorta place...right up my alley.

Amy did not make it due to weather delays...we ate well even tho company was lacking ;) The rivers were frozen up there...I doubt I will be moving North anytime soon...

Frank,

I'm sad we couldn't make it there to meet you. The major reroute we had to take on the first day really screwed us up. We only made it to Sterling, CO. Second day was from Sterling to Chicago...sheesh. Don't care to repeat that any time soon.

Glad you enjoyed the place!
