Any good eats or other culinary highlights that are a must do??

Will be in D.C. too but already have a pretty good list for there.

Frank,

Missed Ashville the last time we were in the region.

For D.C., my single strongest recommendation is Afterwords Cafe., attached to Kramerbooks. Also Teaism in Dupont Circle is quite good.

Frank,

My sister lives about 45 minutes west of Asheville. I'll ask her for recommendations. When you going?

Thanks!

Not sure exactly when...we have a 5 year contract with the FAA going wherever, whenever, doing whatever they want.

Thay called yesterday and said "pick two" you can go to LA, Denver, Cleveland, DC Reagan, or Asheville.

I chose to group the two East coast airports.

Should be in the next 30 days or so.

per my sis...can't vouch for any of them, but here you go...

"As far as restaurants, I would highly recommend Limones (a california-mexican fusion) very fresh, excellent choices.
Zambras is a good tapas place
Red Stag Grill is good, though more formal
Mellow Mushroom for casual."

I admit to having a warped sense of "fun"
