All,

I'll be in NYC April 3-6, with free days on Saturday and Sunday. I've got some family to see and stuff, but it would also be fun to see a couple of y'all while I'm there. Plus, you know, food!

Where's Tim's son's restaurant again?

It's called Todd's Mill, and it's on Orchard St. in the LES.

It's possible I may be in NY then. Even though Andy was in NY for three months rebuilding Mamma Mia, he may still have to do his annual "kick the tires" trip in April.

Josh,

Matt Suchomski would love to welcome you to his restaurant. Phone 212 995-0300. Mention Tim and Lib and ask to see our wedding picture on the restaurant wall; yes, it was taken about 40 pounds ago!

http://toddsmill.com/themenu/#dinner Note: Chef Greg is working on a new menu and Matt will be getting a revised wine list.

Note the veggie and fish for Josh and porcentricity fare for Amy

Tim

I'm going to be in NYC on a conference in June. Will be in midtown, but as a former resident, am willing and able to use the subway. Since it's been 15 years since I lived there (upper east side) and 4 since I've been last, I'm open to food suggestions. I'm not sure how much time I'll have (so won't suggest a meet-up), but would love to plan a few good meals.

We are also heading to Grand Turk, Bonaire, Curaçao (Willemstad), and Aruba later in the month. Any restaurant suggestions would be welcome.

Since my daughter has been in school in Brooklyn, we have been kind of hanging more in that area. Here are some of the places I liked at our visit there last fall:

SoCo (http://socobk.com/) Southern, soul fusion.
The Smoke Joint (http://www.bcrestaurantgroup.com/tsj) barbecue, beer and bourbon.
Frankies Sputino (http://www.frankiesspuntino.com/) excellent Italian, must try the polenta
Habana Outpost (http://www.habanaoutpost.com/locations/ ... na-outpost) fun and cheery. More Mexican than Cuban but they do a great Cubano sandwich.
Smorgasburg (http://www.brooklynflea.com/2011/05/17/ ... orgasburg/) Every Sat., a ton of food vendors with lots of samples and food for sale. Go with a few people so you can try more stuff. Do not go the day after you drink too much wine with your cousin and her girlfriend. Also a great place to see hipsters in their natural habitat, which is far cooler than yours.

Mary,

I'm not even sure I'm cool enough to observe hipsters in their natural habitat let alone be in it with them! In fact, I'm fairly certain that I am not! (it's probably a sign that I'm totally not cool enough that I desperately want to wash and shave them, and get them contact lenses - or at least less ironically hip ugly frames).

They are a strange bunch, but they eat well.

All,

So I should have time free on Sunday for dinner or whatever. Not too late though: I have to catch the train at 830 the next day.

So, who's up for it? Where should we go?
