Post subject:  I'm Back!

Finally home after a month of traveling. I had some great experiences, food and otherwise. My (food) highlights:

NYC
Thai mussel and stand up comedy in Brooklyn (?)
Choice in Brooklyn, Clinton Hill. Steak panninis to die for

PA
The Ruben at the Cory Creek Golf Club in Mansfield, PA. (a big surprise for me)
Texas Road House in Big Flats, NY. Finally a chain done right.

NYC
SoCo, soul/southern fusion.

Sonoma/Napa
Sol Food (Puerto Rican) in San Rafael (on the way).
Vintners Inn in Santa Rosa. We went to a wedding there, fantastic food and the breakfasts were great as well.
Redd and Mudd in Yountville, as well as a snack at Bouchon PLUS something from a taqueria.

San Diego
Azul in La Jolla. Great steak house right on the beach.
Roy Yamaguchhi, Pacific Rim food, also in La Jolla. We were drawn there by the Tiki torches
Fat Fish, Mission Beach Latin
Rubicon Deli, Mission Beach big old sandwiches and wraps.

NYC
Café Habana Brooklyn. I should have had the Cubano sandwich.
Schmorgasbord in Williamsburg, Brooklyn. A weekly food fair with an amazing array of foods. Lots of samples and plenty to buy.
Smoke Joint Fort Greene, Brooklyn. Barbecue! Amazing baked beans.

Thanks. And maybe one day, Josh. My husbands family lives in the Bay area and area all consuming, even though I love them dearly, I would like to sneak up there for a few days without them knowing. I finally did make everyone go to the Ferry Building, loved it. Have any of you heard of Mexican gelatin creations? It looked like a flower encased in crystal but was all done with gelatin. Gorgeous!
And it was Mustard's Grill in Yountville, not Mudd. Mudd was the movie I saw on the plane.
