SS,

So far, my favorite upscale Chicago place has been Purple Pig. I liked them better than Girl and The Goat. And PP is open on Sundays.

That looks interesting. Since I'll be traveling alone, the communal seating might actually be fun. It doesn't look far from where I'm staying.

HI,

The purple Pig is one really fun restaurant. The food is very pork centric; that may be Fuzzy's secret craving. The marrow bone is really great. They have a wonderful wine list but very limited wine by the glass.

This is very casual upscale, not fine dining.

Tim

I ended up at the Purple Pig, and fortunately, not alone. Another woman from our meeting was game to go on an adventure with me.

We shared several dishes, including the bone marrow, roasted cauliflower, a calamari dish, and a bottle of wine. Then we ordered something called the "Pig Platter", and the waitress didn't tell a couple of middle aged women who had already eaten several plates of food that it was large enough to feed a football team!!! The photo below is after we ate everything we could from the platter.

The food was excellent, and the restaurant was indeed a lot of fun. 8-) Not something I can usually find in the retirement village of Sarasota.

Thanks, Josh for the suggestion.
