Driving up for a long weekend in June & staying in the honkytonk zone on the Canadian side (because, why not?).

Is there anything worth seeking out, foodwise?

Pete, there's a good pizza joint, small family run. Popular though. http://www.zappispizza.com/niagara-falls-pizza/
For breakfast this place is an experience. http://flyingsaucerrestaurant.com/pages ... aurant.cfm
Otherwise mostly chains and nothing noteworthy. May be a good show at the casino there, they have great comedians and singers there often. Check wagjag.com, teambuy.ca and groupon for some great deals on NF accommodations, sometimes with winery tours thrown in.
On the US side of NF I love Sammy's Pizza. http://www.sammyspizzahydepark.com/ True hole in the wall but great pizza and wings. Again, family run. The décor was outdated when I started going there 25 years ago and it's still the same.

What's the long weekend for you? doubtful that I can drive down but if possible would love to try, I'm less than 2 hours away.

If you're willing to drive around a bit, there's some decent wineries in the Niagara area. I don't have specific names for you, but google around and see if you find anything.

I have alternate Fridays off so "long weekend" is up Friday, tour Saturday, home Sunday. This would be the weekend of 6/22.

We've been doing some short trips this year on my longer weekends in lieu of using vacation days. We did a Philly weekend in March and a trip down to Charlottesville, VA in April. We'll head up to Boston in August (I'll probably use a day and make that a 4-day weekend).

Not much of a Stooges buff, I'm afraid. How 'bout Busby Berkely?
