Not cheap, but well worth it.

There is also a really nice restaurant next to the Opera House (was at the Opera House last week to see Book of Mormon, but forgot the name of the restaurant). It was literally two doors down on the corner from the theater.

I remember when Hamersley's opened. I worked a couple of blocks away on the corner of Tremont and Appleton. I believe my love affair with Cassoulet began there...

His book is awesome! It was fun to order a couple of the recipes we like. We went about a month ago, and it was truly an amazing experience.

We're back and had a fantastic Boston weekend. The weather couldn't have been better and our hotel was really well located for us to walk EVERYWHERE. I suspect we walked a good 10 miles in 2 days. We had an early dinner Friday in the North End at Neptune Oyster and it was divine. Oysters, Chowder (Russ) and Hamachi Ceviche (Me). A bit expensive and cramped but it was worth it. You just have to go at an off hour because the wait could be long. Dinner Saturday was at Legal Seafood right across from our hotel (near the Acquarium). Oysters were fantastic, Russ loved his meal of Chowder and Seafood Stew but unfortunately mine was "meh". I had the seafood trio (grilled shrimp/scallops and crab cake with a side salad) but I didn't like the crab cake, at all - much too fishy. Then Granary Tavern for a nightcap and Joes American Bar and Grill for brunch today, right in the harbor. Our favorite walks were thru Beacon Hill and Bay Village. We truly enjoyed ourselves.

Hi all,

I am heading to Boston in two weeks for vacation and am in need of a couple of recommendations.

1) Is the Ethiopian place still recommended? We have no Ethiopian in South Florida and I miss it.
2) We are meeting a really large group of friends for a drink at this Cask n Flagon. Is the food recommended there? If not, can someone recommend something really close by?
3) We are staying at the Sheraton Back Bay by the Prudential Center. Anything to try nearby or anything to keep completely away from?
