Will be staying in C.S. one night and Trinidad one night week after next. I know of a great pizza joint in (wood fired oven) in Trinidad but do not know about anyplace Colorado Springs.

Do you want to go big while in CO Springs? The Broadmoor has some fine restaurants and some more casual spots, but you should really see the resort while you are there. One of their award winning restaurants in The Summit, which is semi-casual. The Penrose Room is the most elegant (and I know you are always in an elegant mood), The Tavern is also semi casual and Charles Court is the most creative (my opinion). If you just want to enjoy a very casual spot, you can go to The Hotel Bar....nice bar food and drinks and a fabulous fireplace out on the patio by the lake
I don't know much about restaurants in town, but I am told that the Blue Star is quite good.

Wino,

Was in Trinidad...can't say I have ever stopped in CS.

Ilene,

I usually look for good food and unique if I can find it...5 star or little, local, hole in the wall matters little.

Just like a memorable (in a good way) experience.

Hope to get to dine with you in Denver someday...
