It's absolutely glorious weather in Colorado right now. We're having unseasonably warm weather, so Andy and I are going to go camping tonight. We're going to Black Canyon National Park, one of the most beautiful places in Colorado. I've got antipasti for lunch, and tonight it's grilled steaks, roasted potatoes in garlic and lemon and my beet salad. Yay Spring!

Alas, sweetie does not like camping. :-(

Amy - have a great time. I enjoy the great outdoors on a daytime basis, but I'm with Kris on overnight camping. Our VW camper makes it much better - I like hiking, being away from it all, sitting beside a babbling creek - I just don't enjoy sleeping on the cold hard ground.

Fuzzy - you and my husband can go camping while Kris and I stay at a nice resort nearby...I can see it now, two ponytail-wearing fuzzy guys around a campfire; the girls in beds with fluffy comforters. 8-)

I don't either. That's why I have a down-filled air mattress. :D

We do 5 days in a tent every summer, but I'd love to take Amy along since her meal sounds better than what we eat, although we do eat pretty good. We used to double stack our air mattresses but now have double high ones and love them.
20 years ago you couldn't have gotten me to set foot in a tent, but now I love it. There has to be a comfort station within walking distance though....I have my limits.

Josh,

The only other group at the campsite was a couple of guys from Denver who came to fly fish. (Black Canyon is a great fly fishing area.) One of the guys looked a lot like you in profile, complete with pony tail.

Mine chose for his on his face. I hope he grows tired of it soon...it's a winter thing with him. I find it itchy.
