Frank, Strangely, I really don't know the restaurants in Champaign or Decatur. Decatur used to have a chilli place that served chili with a roux base and strange brown oval shaped legumes, I can't remember what they were called. Tim |

Reminded myself to post on this little adventure, could not find chilli, but did make an effort. http://www.decaturbeachhouse.com/ http://www.yelp.com/biz/beach-house-decatur Got to the Beach House about 2:30 / 3:00 to find out they had stopped serving, the charming hostess said..."wait a minute, let me see if the chef can fix you something" She came back and said "have a seat" I wanted to keep it simple so I ordered the mac & cheese. It was really good. Beautiful view of the lake. Wind was blowing extremly hard and it was whitecapping that day. Very nice people, excellent simple meal, great view if you are ever there. |
