All,

By dint of saving up 200,000 frequent flyer miles, my wife and I are going to Jerusalem, Rome and Pisa next month.

Anyone have any do-not-miss foodie attractions in those cities? Restaurants?

Great trip Josh! Of the 3 I have only been to Pisa but did not have much luck. Stay far away from the Leaning Tower when looking for food, pretty nasty stuff.

Sorry I can't give you any tips. How long are you staying in Pisa?

Mary

It's been a while since we were in Rome, but the Cafe Veneto,, Via V. Veneto 120, tel:06.482.7107 is really good. They had a big open fire pit where they cooked some of the food. There's also a nice wine shop Il Grottino Wine Store Enoteca. Via dei Cappuccini 29, tel 06.42.01.30.85. I can't be sure either are still there, but you have enough info here to find out. The restaurant is high end, or at least was when we were there. I am extrememly jealous! We plan on spending a month in Italy in the next couple years.

Laurie

I look forward to the photos Fuzzy! All I can say is bring the No-Doze, you have to stay up late in Italy to enjoy the food.

One of the unexpected fun things in Italy were the juice shops, squeezing fresh orange juice. I'm sure you've seen that already though. And the marzipan. Incredible.

Have a safe trip. Lynn

Thanks, all. I'll see what I can follow up on. And, of course, pictures!
