When my wife tasted his pulled pork she yelped, with a full mouth, "OMG, if you can make, this you will be rich!" :o :!:

Having eaten both, I'd say both were extraordinary in their own way.

Of course, standing outside in the intense heat of Franklin's line makes you salivate (and wonder why you would do this to yourself). Standing around the smoker while Frank, Lou, Ken and John put their perfection on a marathon session with friends/family is another great meal altogether.

Makes me yearn for another great get together...

The 2-1/2 hours in the parking lot in 98* weather had the opposite effect on me...was not all that hungry when I did get food...that plus the inside of the building was about 90*. Not for the faint of heart or spirit!

The Q I took home and ate that evening after cooling down was much tastier than the first round.

Oh Frank, I certainly did not sit and eat at Franklin's. It was almost hotter inside the restaurant than outside. (And a group of us flatly refused to move up the sidewalk so we could remain in the shade before we entered the place.)

I drove back to the (air-conditioned) condo we were staying at, took a shower, and then ate.

But the scents standing in line at Franklin's were intoxicating.
