All,

I'll be travelling to Ottawa all next week. Hopefully I can connect with Paul there.

Regardless, I'm unlikely to be able to log into the board while I'm there, Monday-Sunday.

Sure, go to Ottawa. Toronto is where it's at though. :-)
Enjoy, Tulips should be great right about now there.

Folks,

So Paul K. picked me up at the University and took me to Zen Garden, a fancy vegetarian restaurant in Ottawa. Here's me and Paul:

Pictures of our dinner are available here:

It was pretty good. I especially liked the salad, which was a lot like salads I've had in Tokyo.

It was very nice meeting Fuzzy! It was an enjoyable supper and Fuzzy is an exceptionally nice guy.

Alas, the restaurant is charging more then its delivering, but you got to find out somehow, so Fuzzy got dragged into it :) The salad was, indeed, quite excellent. The remaining ranged from good (IMO) to just OK. The vegan cheesecake was curious.... had a good flavour (mind you, I don't eat dessert much so have no real palette for it) , but a somewhat gritty texture.

I hope to meet him again on some future trip.

Having also met Fuzzy (we spent a delightful day together in SF, along with Sunny, Patti, Kara--whom I miss, and Kris) I can completely concur with you!

So glad the two of you connected!

Amy

Todd,

I blinked. The server was taking the picture, and you take what you get.

Going to Ottawa (well, staying in Gatineau on the QC side of the river) for our Thanksgiving weekend. Will be meeting, for the first time, some of Chris' family that he never saw after his dad passed away 35 years ago.
Paul - I'd like to do one nice-ish dinner/lunch out with just my family, teen boys, not picky and they appreciate good food but nothing too trendy. Thought on places other than the usual chains?

I'll add a couple over the next day or two, esp after consulting with my wife :)
