And ate enough for what felt like ten people. Best restaurant this trip: Sage at the Aria. Really good combo of flavors. Went to B&B (Batali Bastianich owned). Excellent food. Pasta Amatriciana, beef cheek ravioli...yum. Strip steak was good too. I mostly ate sides which were great: Truffled mac and cheese, spinach souffle, french fries in duck fat...I am now detoxing from too much food and booze

I didn't get a resounding "Yippee, our next meet is going to be in Vegas", so I didn't make any further plans. It can still be done if people are interested, I will be going in October with another group of people. I know these people would be interested in joining us for dinners, but probably not any Foodie type excursions. My friend Linda who has lived in Vegas for the last 15 years knows the city well and actually showed me some interesting areas of town that we could explore.

Timely, thanks Todd. I will be in Vegas in July for a weekend (yeah I know, don't say it) and will add these to my tip list.

Connecting through Telluride, no doubt. ;)

I love Vegas in July. 110 degrees of dry heat! Drink lots of water.

Bon Appetit or Food and Wine mentioned a used book store that carries tons of cookbooks. I didn't get there this time, but am dying to check it out.

Hmmm Telluride, sounds nice and probably a convenient hub.

I will have to look for the cookbook store Nancy thanks. And I also just noticed you were the OP so my thanks to Todd were really for you. Todd, I will be thankful to you some other time.

We are going to because 2 friends are renewing their wedding vows after 20 years. I am not sure what the weekend plan is but as she is in my cooking club and another cc friend will be there also I am sure I can get the cookbook store worked in.
