Sounds like everyone had a lovely holiday. We had a wonderful day with lots of great food. I have made stock today and turkey shepards pie for dinner.

I also put one quart of mashed potato's in the freezer, anyone done that? How will they fair? Any tips for thawing and reheated at a future date?

I made my stock also today. It made the house smell so good this morning.

Belated happy Thanksgiving!

I put on my ski pants for the first time this season. No more pie for me for a while.

All,

Happy TY Day from the Oregon Coast! I'd show you some pics, but for some bizarre reason the internet here blocks Smugmug.

Laurie, freezing mashed potatoes has worked for me in the past. Just reheat them gently, and you may need to whip a bit more dairy (cream, butter) into them once they're warm to restore creaminess.
