Didn't have any time to plan or prep or bake, so this was what I could pull together:

  • Salad of apples, cucumbers, mint, feta and pomegranate molasses dressing.
  • Whole roast fish (striped bass) with honey-garlic sauce, and potatoes.
  • Cinnamon challah for dessert.

Anyone else do something for the new year?

A very happy new year. Sounds pretty yummy for a rush job!

I was thinking the same thing. Honey, apples, challah. What's not to love?

fitzie,

It's something Semifreddi bakery makes, called "cinnamon twist challah". Think a regular braided challah, with the braids covered in cinnamon sugar, and then solved into a loaf pan and baked. It's traditional to Portugal, I think.

I forgot to ask - could you give me the pomegranate molasses dressing?
