Hopefully not. He's in a class of like minded quirky kids. A great bunch but they fit the absent minded professor mold to a "t". I do not understand how a child can go home without shoes without noticing....but they have done it.

This is a pic of the Tres Leches Cake served to us at Dos Caminos as our anniversary dessert. Absolutely fantastic!

We had a tres leches cake at our wedding. Never found one to match that one.

Josh, going back to page one of this thread, what masa flour did you use? I have mesaca brand which is one of the only choices here and before I try tortillas, I wonder what you used.

I haven't cooked anything for a month, (spring bird migration time), and we are desperate for something good at home. We were even down on the Rio Grande in Texas and didn't run into anything to write home about. I guess I should have consulted Frank..... ;)

Karen,

I buy the store-packaged masa from mexican markets. Particularly, there's a mexican market in Medford, OR which has really top-quality masa; like the King Arthur Flour of masa. Mesaca is more like Gold Medal.

So, I know that doesn't help much, although Toledo is a big enough city that you've GOT to have a mexican supermarket somewhere. Hmmm .... and indeed you do: http://sanmarcostaquieria.com/

Josh, I have been there before....I need to look closer at their selections. They also have a small cafe, which is very good if you ever get to Toledo!!!! Thanks!
