Inexpensive and very delicious, this wine would go with most of the menu, http://www.meiomiwines.com/ :!:

I will keep an eye out for it. I haven't had that winery before, but I do like a good pinot noir. Thanks.

You may use the phrase "wine drinking party" as I have decided not to copyright it. For the good of all mankind and all that jazz.

Looks yummy. No dessert items though?

Hi Jean,

The dessert items don't go as fast as you would assume. I am not sure why. I am going to have some good chocolates, and I will also have raspberries stuffed with dark chocolate chips if I can find decent raspberries without going broke. Last party I made mini chocolate mousse and mini cheesecakes and I had quite a bit left.

Lisa, makes sense. If you can't find the raspberries maybe some of Marilyn's toffee would be good to have. It can be frozen if not all eaten. And it goes will all wines. ;-)

Jean, my mind has been spinning all day on what easy dessert I can add at this stage of the game. <G> My husband is going to kill me.

How about biscotti. They were originally designed to be dunked in wine.

How about more fruit to go with your theme, strawberries and dried apricots dipped in chocolate and a big plate of fresh fruit. I am sure there are some people who remember last month's resolutions and will be thankful to you.

Lisa, so sorry! I like both Jesbelle's and Mary's suggestions too. The Anise Almond biscotti (made with melted butter) come together very quickly if you decide to go that route.
