Mexican train is one of my favorite games. I just got a new set where the hub plays train sounds for about a minute when you press a button. The younger generation especially love that. |

phoenix wrote: pumpkin pie (Libby's recipe off the can ) I was in charge of the pie this year and I made the Libbys' recipe also off of the can with one variation. I let the filling sit for three hours in the bowl before I poured it into the crust and baked the pie. I read somewhere to do this about a month ago and I have to say that this does make a difference. The result was a pie that wasn't at all grainy and this was the nicest looking Pumpkin Pie I have ever baked. |

My mom blessed me with about 10 pounds of pumpkin puree from her garden, so I will definitely be trying that. |

Interesting pumpkin pie technique. Thanks for the tip. My new favorite pie crust is the one from Joanne Chang's Flour cookbook. It worked really well with the pumpkin filling. Emilie (from TOBB and now here) tried the cream filled doughnuts from that cookbook and said that they are really good. That will be my next project. Nancy |
