Bruschetta is easy and best at room temp. Sometimes I make the crostini and then bring two toppings....tapanade and bruschetta. lay out the crostini surrounding the two bowls of toppings....pretty easy.

Mary, I think it's Easybake who posted the skewers once on TOB. Here's one I found that looks really good:

or this one

The teachers have been thoroughly appreciated. I made the skewers from the 2nd recipe, very yummy. They will be showing up in my life again.

And now for my vent: I made the salad and had the sauce in a separate jar. I told the very unpleasant Belgian woman from the parent's committee to mix before they came in. She said, "no we put it beside with a spoon and they can put their own on". I explained it was a stronger dressing and really needed to be mixed to which I got a very forceful no. I returned to get my dishes later and the salad was only half eaten and I found my jar of dressing by the sink! I was going to say something but the woman was busy yelling at other people and I didn't really feel I needed too much more of her in my life. But Nancy's lovely salad sitting there all naked just makes me sad. I decided I am making some with spinach for our dinner tonight and dressing it properly. I wish there was a tongue sticking out symbol for nasty Belgian women... :x

Normally I would be much more forgiving but this woman was just so... snippy. I had my salad with some lamb rack and am much happier and she is probably still snippy.
