 No need. I'm a total salt slut. I have 6 different kinds in the cupboard right now. ;)

All,

So we made the enchiladas and the fava beans from the Zacatecas article in this month's Saveur. The Enchiladas are a real winner; I used CI's shortcut for heating the tortillas (spray oil and a hot oven), and they were really easy and tasty.

We also had a tequila which was new to me: Chamucos Resposado. Did both margaritas and shots. I liked it ok, but not as much as Tres Generaciones which we could have had for slightly less. Nice bottle though:

Kris made guacamole, too, of course. This year-round avocado thing has a lot going for it.

(the biggest tequila importer in SF runs a liquor store around 3 blocks away, so if you can buy it in the USA, I can get it)

Josh,

Can you link to the recipe? I'm always looking for a good enchilada recipe. And, I agree about CI's trick...really works like a charm.

Hey Josh,
What's the name of the liquor store in SF? I'm a fan of tequila.
Thanks
Nancy

Nancy,

Liquid Experience on Haight Street:

You might wait for them to replentish their stock, though. They got hit pretty hard this week.

Also, if you're coming up to the City -- lunch, dinner?

We had a belated Cinco yesterday. Carnitas, and they were really good. I use Diana Kennedy's recipe adapted by the Homesick Texan. Yum!
