we had chicken legs that were in the crockpot all day, corn, ceasar salad, bread. And a hockey game. Followed by cannoli from a killer grocery store and brownies from same store for the kids. But, my honey is in town and is also a keeper. So life is good. |

We had bubkis...I was working on a shoot for Coors all day, and Andy still isn't home. If I'm still mobile when he gets here, I may pull something out of the freezer. Amy |

Rod wound up with lasagna, courtesy of the pint sized dictator. I was cooking something Saturday night and she asked what I was cooking(so far, so good); then she rolls the baby blues and says "Mama you haven't made lasagna in a long time, that's what you need to make Daddy for Valentine's Day". Yes, I realize she had an ulterior motive, but that's what Daddy got. It was a very good day, few hours of riding, the kids, and then Rod and I watched Lord of the Rings(I'd never seen it, pretty good so far). |

Ha, and does Rod need a motorized Barbie golf cart for his birthday? What's bubkus? We had chicken breasts, brown rice, crispy browned mushrooms, green salad with strawberries, red pepper and purple cabbage. And a bottle of Cameron Hughes cabernet no. 157. PS Nevermind on the bupkis, I looked it up and I see what you mean. We have it about four nights a week, the other ones I refer to as a "proper dinner". |

Lunch @ Oceana was amazing. Simple yet delectable. Shared a salad, Russ had crispy sea bass with anchovy dressing and creamed spinach. Wow, wow, wow. Me, red snapper seviche - OMG. 2 glasses of wine, coffee, espresso, meyer lemon and dark chocolate sorbet. A very memorable day after V-Day meal...Just wish I could've continued to play all afternoon instead of going back to work. |

We celebrated Sunday since Donna didn't get home until 9:00 p.m. Valentine's night. Grilled BBQ chicken, homemade mac 'n cheese, roasted veggies and my Aunt Lena's apple cake. |

Nancy, your day sounds amazing! Color me green with envy! I wound up having to completely change my menu last minute as my DD had a mishap at school and I couldn't do the shopping for the foie gras. I have a fantastic fishmonger right around the corner from me, so I made kataifi wrapped scallops and tiger prawns with a beurre blanc sauce and balsamic reduction, sole stuffed with crab & lobster, roasted asparagus, roasted baby potatoes and spring green salad. For dessert: chocolate dipped strawberries. I'll see if I can post a pic of the tiger prawns, they looked great but were a big PITA to prepare. |

Jenny, Wow, much fancier than me. Did you take pictures? Final menu: valentine's day casserole, broccolini with garlic & peppers, and cream puffs filled with chocolate pastry cream. The fancy dinner is Friday, at Chapeau! http://www.chapeausf.com/ (warning, flash) |

Fyi, bupkis is a yiddish word that means nada, nothing. Nancy |
