I would add "romantic" right in front of Keyboard on C's description.

Fuzzy, it's amazing that you have a traditional v-day dinner based on your first one. You are continually talking about you and your sweetie preparing intimate dinners (sounds like they would be intimate even in a kitchen the size of MJ's :) So many things, and gosh the two of you have been together for a while, right??

Impressive.

EB,

Hmmm ... 20-year first-date anniversary is this October. But I know that several folks on this board can outstrip that easily.

Not that I'll make you speak up or anything. ;-)

Justin and I will be celebrating our 13th anniversary in June at Disney World/Universal. Pretty impressive considering our fairly young ages! ;)

Finally decided on muffaletta sandwiches and red velvet cake from Smitten Kitten. Just us and the grandsons.

She's 30...young, but wise.

Amy, thanks for posting Dave's story of romantic dinners! Very nice.

I'm going to go all out this year. My husband is holding steady at cancer free :D and he's worth a very big celebration!
Appetizer: Smoked Salmon Waffles from Around My French Table.
Main: Tournedos Rossini - filet mignon with foie gras on toast with truffles served in a Madeira sauce. I'm sourcing the foie gras as I type this; I doubt I'll find truffles so I will flute cremini mushrooms instead.
Sides: celeriac puree & steamed haricots verts.
Dessert: Peach Melba Roulade.
Oh and of course, plenty of red wine!

That sounds delicious Jenny. I was just wondering how Peter was doing so am VERY glad you have something to celebrate.

We are going to be in Austria next week for a ski holiday so I am going to scout out a very romantic restaurant for 5.

Jenny,

So nice to hear Peter's still cancer-free. You have every reason to make this one a blowout!

Russ is cancer free 3 years now and its all good. So congrats to Peter too!
This year we're reviving an old tradition. We used to go to an upscale NYC for late lunch the day after V-D. Bouley, Union Square, that type of restaurant. Stopped doing it about 10 years ago and neither of us can remember why.
So this year resys are booked for Oceana. I'm already looking forward to the red snapper ceviche...
