I've heard carrot tops are toxic, but there is conflicting opinions. Thoughts?

Pretty dangerous to a watermelon.

You're welcome all!

I have to keep pointing out, though, that I host the board because I like it here too (just look at my post count). Also, these days Amy, Wino, and Pete do as much to run the board as I do.

But thank you again for the wonderful gifts. I'll be making Vietnamese crab noodles this week.

Becca,

This is the best round-up of the evidence I've seen:

I was "watching" (and by "watching" I mean in the same room as) a PBS cooking show a few weeks ago. I want to say it's called something like "Christine Cooks". Anyway, her schtick is ultra-healthy vegetarian cooking. She was making something with carrots and she says "Use the leaves, too! Nature put them on top of the carrot for a reason!" Yeah, nature put a leaf on rhubarb, too lady.

That's not to say that I think carrot tops will hurt you.

Please let us know how you like it. I've been eyeing something like this for a while.

I have had a soda streamer for a few years now and love it. It is easy to use and I don't have to buy water any more. I get the bigger canister and it lasts for a very long time.

My husband has been using it for 3 days and absolutely loves it. I tried it for the first time last night - so very fresh tasting. It's a keeper! I also have a friend who has had one for 4 years and claims it's the best appliance in his house. I'd say you have 3 good endorsements (or enablers) Alina!
