I'm pretty sure Shortstack would die of starvation if not for the peanut butter. The other things I always stock up on --

Organic chicken broth
Graham crackers
Creamy tomato soup and Roasted red pepper and corn soup
Golden Berry Blend
Mozzarella
cranberries, when they are in season
Arborio rice and often the jasmine
canned beans
baking soda and baking powder (cheaper)
sweet pickle relish
olive, coconut, and canola oils
frozen sweet potato frites
frozen wild blueberries

I'm sure I'm missing some. I always get my butter there, too.

I've never had much luck with frozen sweet potato frites. I follow the directions and they still come a little on the limp side. Same with home made. I've had the oven temp calibrated and we're about 15 deg on the hot side.

JesBelle, do you have any tips or hints?

I don't think I've ever had a sweet potato fry that wasn't at least a little limp. I don't think they crisp like regular potatoes. The crispiest I've managed to make them is using CC's recipe -- the one that has you coat them in corn starch and deep-fry. The second crispiest would be the ones I make the day after making TJ's frites. I take a handful of cold frites and put them in a hot, oiled waffle-maker. The resulting mess is crispy indeed and very good with some chili salt.

Knew I should have kept that waffle iron! Thanks for your input.

I just had the aloo chaat Indian pockets. Delicious! I'm also reenjoying the German pretzel sticks dipped in jalapeño pub cheese, and the fruit jellies...

JB,

I've had crispy sweet potato fries, but they were tempura-battered.

I love the feta they have at TJ's as well as the mushroom pate'. I am having a cocktail party this Saturday night and am using the TJ's black beans and corn relish as one of the appy's with chips. They had it on sample when I was there a month ago. It was quite good and so freaking easy, dump and stir!

Now if I could get one near home. I take my mom there once a year in the spring. There is one about 30 minutes from her house. The only other time I get to one is when we are on vacation. I search them and Whole Foods out.

I just discovered the Cookie Butter (crunchy) a few weeks ago and it's soooo good. Very dangerous to keep on hand, so of course I'm going to get an extra jar when I'm near there this week :D
