So, Geekboy is in Sunnyvale, California for a few months. He has offered to send me home some exotica that I can't easily find in the boonies. I sent him a list for Trader Joe's (One is coming to me, but it's not here yet.) and Whole Foods, but I'm guessing there are other, more interesting grocery stores there. Whatever he ships has to be shelf-stable and not fragile (no glass jars). So, any suggestions?

JB,

Wait, Geekboy is in the Bay Area? I totally want to meet him.

There's Ninjitsu Markets in San Jose and Mountain View (http://www.nijiya.com/store-location); those carry a really wide selection of Japanese foods. Generally there's a whole *aisle* of seaweed, for example. It's also where I buy "half-brown rice".

There's a Penzey's in Menlo Park.

Otherwise, I'm not sure; I seldom go that far south. Janet?

Oh, Rancho Gordo beans, for sure!!! They have a store in the Ferry Building don't they Fuzzy?

I just noticed that he is going to ship them to you, which RG can do, so my suggestion is probably not a good one.....

Actually, I'll bet the shipping would be less on the beans. I'll have him look out for them, thanks!
