I can personally testify to the #1 item - even thought there's just the two of us, I buy two buckets at a time. Tea never had a better companion:

I try to avoid going to TJ's because I'll end up with $100+ in my cart every time. I've never tried most of the items on the list except for the Orange Chicken. We love it and usually have at least 2 bags in the freezer (along with the fried rice). We cook it in the Breville and heat the sauce in the microwave and dip. Do love the fennel and also the leeks. I try to avoid the Joe Joes, and the chocolate candy, tell myself I'll bake or make candy instead (usually I don't so save some calories there). DH panics if he does not have at least 2 unopened jars of the almond butter in the pantry. I have the speculoos butter in the pantry but I'm afraid to open it and of course always have the pound plus on hand.

Wierdly, I've only *ever* bought about half the items in that list, and only one of them is on my "habitual" TJ's shopping list (the kale & yogurt dip). Whereas the things I buy *every* time didn't make it on the list at all:

  • canned olives (green, black, and sliced)
  • habanero lime salsa
  • frozen "maryland" crab cakes
  • butter
  • canola oil
  • "it's not Santini" olive oil
  • trek mix granola

... what do you buy every time you go to TJ's?

Some of our favs, in addition to the Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip are:

*Different varieties of Hummus
*Roasted Beets
*Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips
*Corn Chips
*Vegetarian Egg Rolls
*Birds Nests
*Pound Plus Dark Chocolate
*Sour Cream (yes, it really is delicious!)
*Salsa Verde

The 4 that caught my interest are #1 Triple Ginger Cookies, #8 Chile Lime Chicken Burger, #13 Corn & Chili Pepper Salsa, and #16 Mandarin Orange Chicken.

Triple ginger (ginger crack), animal crackers, AP and WWW flour and pound plus bars make it into my cart every time, plus the wine and whatever else looks good. Next time I go to Buffalo will bring a cooler for sure.

JB,

I get the feeling that TJ's is a major part of your general grocery shopping ...

We don't live near one now, so when we go, we stock the heck up.

Geekboy and Roomie are there right now, fetching my 10 boxes of chicken broth.

JB,

Too bad the vegetable broth isn't as good.
