If you live in a northern state, a four sided box, open on floor and north side, up against the basement wall may remain at 55 year round. Mine hits low 60s so it didn't work for me. |

Got all that except the basement. It's so wet here, that most older houses don't have basements. The McMansions people have put up in recent years have basements. They flood. |
