JB, Probably one (or both) of the two seaweeds, then. That certainly seems more likely than miso; seems like to be allergic to miso you'd have to be allergic to soy sauce as well. |

If it is a single occurrence, it is possibly just Post hoc, ergo propter hoc fallacy. Particularly with food we are somewhat programmed to associate bad outcomes with the food we just ate when it could have been an insect bite or other unrelated occurrence; we seem to favor caution with 'bad' foods. Probably good from an evolutionary point of view If it is repeatable that is a different story, of course. |

Yeah, I know I need to make a further experiment. I've fallen victim to the whole "It was after this, so it must be caused by this" thing. I used to believe that fast food made me sick. Come to find out I just have an intolerance to sesame seeds, which are on all the buns at fast food places. However, I'm not keen on the whole puffy and itchy part of the process. edited to add: I did eat the soup twice and got the itchy patches both times within about 45 minutes. |

I have some apples I want to use up and thought of making apple cobbler. I never make cobblers, but somehow this just sounded like a good idea. Then I stumbled on this recipe on Epicurious, and the idea of miso in the cobbler topping sounds fantastic. I'll be making this today. Amy |
