The Saveur recipe uses 1.5 cups of seed for 3 cups of mustard. Does that sound right? Mary

Mary,
Yes. However, Saveur is legendary for editing their recipes for space, even at the compromise of important instructions or ingredients. I'd cross-reference it with recipes from elsewhere.
Really, I will find that mustard book. Really!

Mary, I've never made this but received a jar last year for Christmas. We used the entire jar during the holidays so I can't say how long it will keep nor can I vouch for the ingredient quantities. I just know we loved it and that the Saveur recipe was used. fitzie

We had hot dogs and sauerkraut, mainly as a vehicle for my mustard. Thanks for your help. It is very tasty. I made the Saveur recipe as is. It made quite a lot so plenty of sandwiches for us. Mary
